Value for money but I would rather pay a few ££ more for better quality. The small, cheap plastic clip that closes the ramp broke on day 2 and we replaced it with a sturdier one. The lid is fitted to the box with a single screw at each end - the screws acting as hinges. To reduce the stress on these screws and to stop the lid being forced back by wind, we attached a retainer strap between the lid and the box. When the ramp is down, the hole into the box is enormous (2x size of a standard hen) so we have fitted a thin piece of ply on the inside, reducing the hole size by a third. Finally, this is a small hen house - big enough for 2 standard or 3 bantam chickens. The nesting boxes are too small for our standard hens so we removed them.
