Loose around the foot
They're comfortable on the foot bed. But they're sized for people with chubby feet. They fit very loose and you can see the nearly 1/2 inch gap in the photo I uploaded. I ordered size 10, I'm 5'10" and weigh 155 lbs.

Super comfortable
Always wore the beer coozie flops but these are surprisingly softer and more comfortable! Wish they came with the old school frayed straps.
