5/5 stars - RGB DRLs on a 2024 BMW M3 G80 Competition Picked these up through Open Throttle for my matte dark gray G80 M3 Competition and couldn’t be happier with the result. The purple RGB color on this car is absolutely perfect, and the DRL signature shape is a serious upgrade over stock. Install: Plan on spending a full day if you’re doing it in a standard garage without a lift. The inner fender removal is the most time consuming part of the whole job. If you have access to a lift and can pull the tires to get clean access, you could probably cut the time significantly. Once you’re actually in there though, the install itself is straightforward. Nothing overly technical, just methodical. I did mine alongside a grille swap and front lip install in a single session. The look: Hard to overstate how much this transforms the front end. The purple glow hits completely differently on matte gray than it does on gloss. The flat finish absorbs the light in a way that makes the DRLs pop without competing. Daytime presence is strong, but at night in a garage or parking structure it’s a whole different level. RGB control: Programmable color is a big deal. Being able to dial in exactly the shade of purple you want rather than being locked into a fixed color is worth it alone. Bottom line: Time consuming but very DIY friendly. The result is 100% worth the effort. Open Throttle made the purchase process easy.
