Very Robust and Functional

I love the 1700 series. They are robust, good looking and can take a beating. I almost gave it a 5 star. However, I will give four, because I had to open the back and re-attach the winding rotor. This probably happened during shipping, but it surprised me that it happen that prompt, within the first week of owning the watch. Conversely, these watches are designed to allow the owner to tinker, switch parts for mods and to make repairs at home. It took me about 15 minutes to open the back with the appropriate tools and repair it myself. I loved the opportunity to fix it and put the design to the test. It is part of the Vostok appeal.
