RUS 76 HP-The Chopa Stopper

I originally purchased this rod to catch bait with, nothing more. I put a Penn Torque 25NLD reel with 45lb. Power Pro spectra and had no intention of ever tying anything on other than a sabiki rig. I took this rod with me on my last 16-day which was turning out to be a bust. One night while anchored up at Hurricane Bank, I tied up a Carolina rig with a 2 ounce egg sinker, a 4/0 Super Mutu and dropped a sardine to the bottom, bam, Chopa! And then another and another and another. I was alone on the rail, catching Chopa after Chopa for hours that night and it was Shangri la. I must have caught 50 Chopas before I had to sleep. This rod that started as an afterthought ended up saving the trip for me. Best Memories Ever!
