Paddle Boat Lift

The concept is great since vertical storage keeps rain water from accumulating in the boat. However, one of the most important parts of the lift is the post that holds everything up. The post is not included in the kit, and the instructions don't give any information how to attach it to the dock surface. We ended up putting a pipe that was taller and just wide enough to fit over an existing dock post over it and drilling holes in both pipes to keep it in place. The post leans out because it is holding the boat up but so far it's holding. The other problem is that the instructions were poorly written with poor illustrations. For example, it said rope hook should face down and be on the outside, but with the pieces laying on the ground we could not tell from the poor illustration which way to put it. Also, each size bolt should have been in separate bag and labeled.

It keeps our pedal boat vlean and safe.

I am very disappointed in this product.

I am very disappointed in this product, I purchased it to use with my Dolphin paddle boat (which is standard size and a very common brand) and the lift is too narrow for the paddle boat. It is very difficult to get the boat into the lift frame. The frame itself is not very sturdy. It racks out of square. Also when we were doing the install, the dimensions provided for mounting the lift to the dock did not agree with the width size of lift. We were able to determine the locations by using the lift bracket as a guide (as indicated in the instructions) however, the fact that the dimensions were wrong in the documentation and that the paddle boat does not fit well on the lift, I am wondering if I received an incorrect product.
