High quality material, amazing split layout, highly recommended!

Metal plate is definitely worth the extra 35$ in my opinion, Will is a super nice guy that will answer all your questions in discord which I appreciate a lot. Keycaps and red kailh switches feel pretty dang good. 2 very small caveats: 1- the screws pop out, it's not a huge issue imo, but it can be a bit annoying depending on how you place your hands on the controller, I also believe this will get fixed in future iterations. 2- Coming from the Haute M16, my only gripe with the controller, and honestly that's more of a me thing, I was unable to choose a full 28.55mm (big) button layout, there is one currently you can get purchase but you have to install the switches and caps by yourself which I definitely don't trust myself to do. If there are full builds with big button split layouts in the future, I'm definitely buying another unit. Thank you for your work!

Feels Amazing

The 04MX feels amazing out of the box. I went with the kailh pinks which have very similar travel and overall feel to low profile reds, but very slightly lighter. The layout is incredibly comfortable and doesn't give me any wrist discomfort like non-split layouts would. Art print quality is great. Overall very happy with the controller

Best fighting game purchase I’ve made

Long time user of various leverless controllers, but was never very happy with them. Some were too flimsy to sit in my lap for long periods of time, the buttons didn’t feel right, or the hand spacing felt weird. This fixes every issue I have come across. Buttons are responsive with a nice feel, and the large extra ones provides some great functionality, like dash macros or two button macros, SF6 parry for example. Built super solid, good and heavy with a nice foam pad underneath. Hand spacing feels good, distance between both hands and individual buttons suits my (fairly large) hands perfectly. Nice subtle lighting while plugged in, and the customisation of the GP2040 is greatly appreciated. Time from ordering to shipping was almost a month, not unexpected. But the time from shipping notification to arrival was only a couple days, which was a very pleasant surprise as it was shipping to the EU. In the unlikely event this breaks (built like an absolute tank, I’d have to drive over it in my car), I would immediately buy another one.
