We made a smaller 6-inch version of the 8-inch plate used for tea ceremony kaiseki. The corners of the side plates are bent, and the butt joints are an accent.
Hinoki cypress is characterized by its bright color and uniform grain, giving it a luxurious feel, and it enhances the appearance of food.
