(Optical/Myopia) NanoClear™ Recon Optical Swim Goggles Smoke - (Black)

I was really happy to see you offer prescription goggles. I got my first pair and they are perfect. Great clarity and no leaking so far. It would be awesome to have a fun color other than plain black! All prescription googles come in either clear with a black band or black with a black band. Us nerds with glasses would love a color option too!

I have tried other actual prescription based goggles before but when made to full prescription I found the lenses small and goggles did not fit well. And ultimately returned to regular goggles. With just the sphere adjustment and this model I find that they are comfortable and sized correctly. Do not fog at all! Great seeing everyone and everything around the pool deck and in the water. Knowing if someone joins my lane is nice. The only hick is that I was disgusted by seeing how dirty the pool floor was 😂. I was unable to see that clearly with regular goggles.

The goggles are not as good as what I hoped for. The biggest issue is that they are quite bulky, so they don’t sit on your face in a streamlined manner, which is a problem for pool swimming where if you push off the wall too hard after a turn the resistance can displace the lens off your face just so slightly that causes some water to leak into the goggle. For normal swimming you can get a decent seal but you have to really position the goggles just right. So therefore it’s hard to swim at a fast pace with these. For lite to moderate lap swimming perhaps they’ll be alright. The anti-fog so far has lasted after three swims of about 1 hour each so that seems to work as advertised. Probably the biggest advantage of these goggles is for open water swimming where anti fog capabilities are much more a factor. And in open water you are unlikely to have the streamlining problem I have when swimming at speed in the pool.
