Cute design but I can't do Unisex sizing!

I LOVE the design on these but they don't fit right on me, a woman, at all. I read that they are unisex sizing and they even put a similar fit suggestion on the site, but for me it didn't work. I'm a size 4, 5' 7", so I ordered a S, and they are about six inches too long and way too tight in the bum and waist. I was disappointed but can't wear them so had to return. Darn!
