BALTHVS - THIRD VIBRATION ( CLOUDY BLUE LIMITED EDITION VINYL )

This is the third installment by the band Balthvs. I’ve been listening to this release all, or in part, on Spotify fairly regularly. The tracks are ethereal but yet have a swing to them - Ashes is an example. It’s this swing by Santiago that sets Balthvs apart from other artists in this genre of music. Joanna’s bass playing is intricate yet hypnotic and pairs very well with Santiago’s drumming, which allows Balthazar to fly over the rhythmic landscape like a bird riding thermal drafts - Komorebi is an example of this hypnotic and ethereal audio experience. My only gripe about this record is that it arrived bowl warped but fortunately does not affect playback.
