Enjoyed making the jacket

I enjoyed making the jacket. At first the directions had to be read more than once but when I got going they were clear. I had to add about 4” to the arms.i constructed the jacket with a 24” zip and cuffs. I made the jacket from waxed cotton which is rugged but not tear resistant next one will be Cordura . I was happy with the pattern.

Nice jacket pattern, medium difficulty

I am somewhat new to sewing and made this jacket for my partner. I shortened the sleeves based on some recommendations and was happy that I did. I used an insulated quilted Eddie Bauer fabric for the inner and canvas for the outer fabric, which worked well. The collar was a bit difficult for me to figure out, but I liked the technique of sealing the edge with grosgrain ribbon. It would have been easier if the ribbon was greater than 0.75 in (1-1.25 in would have helped). All in all nice pattern with instructions and leaves room for personalization.
