I purchased a TRC Apocalypse Prime, which appears gray in the photos and is marketed as such. I understand that Micarta can naturally vary to some extent, but not to this degree. I have attached a photo of two otherwise identical knives that differ in color like night and day. The completely black one is from TRC, while the gray one is from Lamnia. I would never have bought the knife if I had known it was completely black. I have emailed TRC about this issue, but they refuse to respond. Therefore: 1-star rating.
