My new favorite Hojicha powder 🤎 I bought this as a one time purchase to try and immediately subscribed. Wonderful rich taste, smooth finish, no bitterness, and the roasted flavors really shine. It’s wonderfully done.

I’ve been interested in this brand for months and I don’t regret taking the plunge at all! This houjicha was so delicious and well balanced. As soon as I opened it I was hit with this toasty nutty umami aroma with hints of chocolate. The powder was super fine and it whisked up super well. Nice and voluminous. I got a good microfoam going. The flavour itself puts the other houjicha powder I own to shame. It is toasty and nutty but without crossing into burnt territory. Medium to light roast. The flavour lingers on your tongue and there is a good undercurrent of umami and chocolatey notes. It is pretty smooth for a houjicha powder too. My other houjicha powder made me think it wasnt for me, but this changed my mind! I was worried I wouldn’t like this because of the higher price point, but now I’m worried I wont like anything else😭 Honestly so worth it. The quality is very evident. Even the bag it came in feels like good quality.
