So far so good! I'm using the new mouthpiece daily in practice, rehearsals, and of course performances.

I have been using an Olka CB2 for a few years but when I read the specs and emailed Chris for a breakdown of the differences betweek the CB2 and the 31 PF this is what he said :"Narrower rim, same basic cup, .323” throat and different backbore profile. More efficient and also more forgiving in the upper register. Also heavier blank being that it’s the Laskey exterior." Having now played the 31 PF for a bit, I totally agree with Chris. Very easy to change from the CB2 since it has a very similar feel. It does clarify the upper register a lot. The timbre with the 31 PF is fuller and the clarity of attacks is better. The upper register is, indeed more forgiving. Nice update to the CB 2 concept.
