Unfortunately, I needed to return this item. I bought it to replace one on a bedside table lamp that is close to 20 years old. It was probably the age difference as to why my shade would not fit on this socket. I bought the lamp at Target. I will definitely keep you in mind if I need anything else. Thanks for having what you do.
