Though you can’t wear it OOB, it’s the best protection out there, and it’s worth every penny. You need a few days to get a proper fit because everything is stiff. You have to wear it at 20 minute intervals where it’s warm (NOT INDOORS). From here you will make adjustments mostly to your chin pad because the leather and foam need to soften up to get your chin and head contoured for all of the padding. After 4 days of doing this, I wore it in a game and it became a little loose even though i wore 3 cooling caps and a Halo sweat band. The next game i wore 5 cooling caps and the Halo with a perfect fit. HOWEVER, if in my next game it becomes loose again, i can make micro adjustments on the lower back straps between innings. This lid MUST be snug all around for a proper fit.

Best helmet I have ever used

I love my new helmet. It is very comfortable and lightweight. I would highly recommend it for someone who wants extra protection as an umpire or a player. It is so easy to use and adjust to fit safely.
