well made, perfect fit / function

My mechanic quoted me $1200 plus parts to replace the entire heater box assembly for rear a/c in my 06 tahoe. Said you can't buy just the blend doors, only one of which was broken. They were incorrect, likely only following GM protocol. I bought these aluminum doors, received them a few days later, they were well packaged for shipment to avoid damage. I replaced them in an evening without any real problems. The doors themselves went in perfectly, fit great, and function well, but I was doing the job without discharging the a/c system, so I couldn't pull the whole box out of the truck. There were a couple parts to reconnect between the body of the truck and the heater box that involved patience, a mirror, a light, a helper, lots of cussing, and crossed fingers that I wouldn't break anything and that it would work okay for me. Shhhhh... so far so good. Highly recommend these doors -- no way will they break again.
