Pre-Wash Scalp Oil

Unfortunately, this product is not for me. I often use a lot of dry shampoo or experience oil build-up, so I was looking for something to cleanse my scalp before washing. I felt confident, based on the description and reviews, that although it is an “oil-based” wash, it wouldn’t leave my hair looking oily afterward. The idea that oil breaks down oil made sense to me. However, after my first wash, I could still feel oil in my hair, so I proceeded to wash it two more times. I still felt as though my hair was oily, but I thought that might just be the sensation it leaves behind. In the end, once my hair dried, it looked as if I hadn’t washed it at all. I’m really sad this product didn’t work for me, but perhaps it’s better suited for a different hair type or texture (I have straight fine hair).
