Diamine - Neptune Blue | Exclusive Pen Venture | - Bottled Ink 30 ml

I have too many blue black inks. This is darker than most, and in that respect similar to Diamine's 1864 Blue Black. What makes it distinct is that sheen, not unlike the much lighter Diamine Majestic Blue. I compare my inks using an Italix "Parson's Essential' pen with a 1.1 broad italic steel nib. I think this ink offers something quite distinct. Thank to Pen Venture for commissioning Diamine to produce it for us to enjoy. I hope it will not be the last of many such ventures.

An exquisite ink

I have a small collection of inks, and each of them has to be special in a certain way. What "Neptune Blue" has, besides its wonderful sheen, is... soul. I remember the holidays with my mom in Neptune, and this truly is our Black Sea at night. I love the flow of this ink, I use it in a 1.5 stub nib fountain pen, so I can I see it in its full splendor! The medium nib was a nice choice, but in the stub, it simply bloomed! Also, thank you Emy for your kind words and the handwritten letter... it was pure joy! The entire experience with the Pen Venture website was far and beyond my expectations!

In love with this ink

I've been keen trying out and experimenting with sheen inks and this one is like the icing on the cake. The combo between Diamine (my favorite ink brand) and Pen Venture (my favorite online stationary shop) is just as I'd expected, pure excellence. I've been using this ink with my Metro, really looking forward to write with a flex or stub nib to get the full glam out of this beautiful sheen ink. If you enjoy blue black ink make sure you get yourself this one!
