A classy dark teal maybe even blue-black depending on the ink flow with some shading and a sheen to red. I like it a lot as it can perfectly be a work-safe ink (depends on the strictness of your environment I guess) but with that extra touch of shine.

Exactly What I Was Hoping For
I wanted an ink with lots of depth. Something different from what was out there and I was not let down by Neptune Blue. The blue/black color is moody and in my Pilot F nib, shows some shading quality that I adore. Then comes the sheen. It's a lovely red with a tinge of copper. I immediately swatched it on Tomoe River paper and was impressed. It's just wet enough to show the depth of this color, but not so wet that it takes forever to dry. It dries quickly on TRP. I didn't have to worry about smudges. This ink has so much character. I can't wait to write some more with it.
I live in the US and the inks and detail to attention by Emy and the PV team was well worth the cost of shipping. I received my box faster than most US based companies I've bought products from. The ink bottles were packaged exceptionally well. And the hand written letter by Emy was a thoughtful and lovely touch. I'll be a repeat customer for life.

The Glorious Depths
This ink is a chameleon. On a regular cheap notepad I can't decide whether the color is blue-black or blue and dark grey. maybe it's all three. What is clear is that the ink doesn't feather. (I used a Gravitas fine nib) For my nice paper test I used a sheet of Iroful. Here Neptune Blue literally shone with a deep blue- black from the depths of the ocean which dried with a deep red sheen. If you like blue-black inks, and I believe many of us do, you should definitely give this one a try. It's a little different and absolutely gorgeous!
