Suggesting a hardware change
Just installed my DLX wall strap storage system for my Perception Tribe 9.5 SOT kayak. Suggestions: (1) all of the hardware, hooks, mounting plates should be made of sturdy metal, not plastic and/or unknown composite material, and, (2) change to a rectangular shape for the mounting plates so the holes align so that each mounting screw can go into a wooden wall stud, not into drywall. Also, none of the "hardware" components on this strap system appear to be metal, so durability and useable lifespan is up for grabs. That said, the overall design is exactly what I needed to be able to store, load/unload my kayak without assistance.
