Beautiful couch, not easy to assemble at all

The Good: - The couch is beautiful and is a unique piece. I really fell in love with the design and am happy to own it - love that the couch is modular, in the future should I move to a bigger place and need more seats I can order them individually vs. having to buy a new couch - customer service is great. Between Brooke, the founder and Ian, the CS Rep, the A.W. team is very accessible and available to speak and resolve any issues. They’re also kind and personable The Bad: - I do advise on ordering the free swatches as due lighting, etc. the images on site are lighter than in real life. Despite this, the olive mohair still is a really nice color - setting up the couch is not as easy at all. This is why I’m giving the couch only 3 stars. I live alone and attempted to set it up on my own and was unable to. I then hired a Task Rabbit who also had a hard time putting it together, he was able to eventually do it but it’s not as easy as it seems. Almond Wind recently updated the design of the Bayshore but the how-to assemble video on the website appears to be putting together the old design. The 2-seater couch has 4 connecting back pieces. Each connecter sits in the middle of the respective back pieces, with this, it’s hard to see them and thus line them up properly. This is definitely a two person job - as much as I love it being a modular couch, when put together it doesn’t appear as seamless in appearance. After setting up mine, one particular line sticks out a little. The Task Rabbiter I hired even noted that it didn’t look like I fluid, clean piece. Despite the bad, I still do like the couch and am keeping it. I hope Almond Wind can make updates to the assembly process, because in the event I move to a bigger place and want additional pieces, I dread the thought of reconfiguring the couch.
