Porch Balloon Pants

Love these pants - the material, overall fit, versatility They run fairly true to size if not slightly narrow in the hips, with an elastic waistband that is tight (a plus for me, but worth considering) Would recommend sizing up if you are between sizes and/or have wide hips. Waist band gets flipped sometimes which is annoying and the pants are insanely expensive. I would not pay full price for these - purchase bc they were on sale.

I wanted to love these pants, and I do like them a lot, but I would offer two observations about them. First, they are voluminous. In my size (2x) there is a lot of extra material around the legs. I don't hate that, and in hot weather I'm sure I will like it even more, but they are very roomy (and a 1x would probably be too small in the hips). Second, the waist elastic is just not properly snug. I'm afraid that if I put my phone and maybe a small wallet into my pockets the pants will no longer sit properly at the waist. So I will probably unpick some of the waist stitching and put in different elastic that will hug my waist tighter. These are expensive pants and in a way I hate that I have to do that, but I do think that it will make the pants more wearable for me. I guess I am a 1x in the waist and legs but a 2x in the hips! Oh well.

Great fabric, cut, and color. The thin elastic band moves within the seam so pants bunch a bit at the top but not an issue if you plan to wear tops untucked.
