VIOFO Type-C HK4 Hardwire Kit

BEWARE - Fuse taps NOT included

I ordered this kit thinking it included everything required to hardwire my Viofo. The fuse taps are NOT included! They expect you to order it separately which DOUBLES the cost of the hardwire kit. The kit itself is low quality. The wires are not terminated with connectors so you have to be careful not to break any of the small strands of wires when you connect it to a fuse tap. You also need to purchase a crimping tool if you want it properly crimped down or else you risk the wires slipping out of the sleeve. Kits from other brands do the right thing by terminating the wires with connectors AND including the fuse taps with corresponding connectors. Avoid this kit and purchase from any other brand that has the connectors and fuse taps. It doesn’t have to be from the same brand. It is all the same because USB-C is one standard across any platform. Don’t let them fool you into thinking otherwise.

simple upgrade from the HK3

purchased a A329 as an upgrade to a A129 that the main camera quit on. The layout is basically identical to the HK3. I took the old out and placed the new in with no hiccups. Having the parking ability for my cam is super important to me so not having this was not an option. It's the typical high quality from Viofo.
