Extreme comfort
Are they jeans, or sweatpants disguised as jeans? Jokes aside they are so unbelievably comfortable, I don’t have to rip them off immediately when I get home. There is generous ease built into the pattern which is a breath of fresh air after wearing high waisted denim for so long. I think next time I’ll try sizing down, as they are very roomy and there’s room to have less room, yknow? The only mods I made were lowering the waist slightly and shortening the legs to accommodate my 5’2” stature. The instructions are concise and clear with not much hand holding. If it’s your first pair of jeans you can do it! Just go slowly and trust the process.

Finally a pair of mid-rise (!) relaxed (!) jeans
I'm really happy with my jeans. I bought the pattern as soon as it came out and made it immediately over winter holidays as the style - mid-rise and relaxed - was something I had been looking for. I had already tried different jeans pattern but they were high-rise in general, especially for me as a person with shorter torso (and no, I wasn't going to decrease the rise cause just so many pieces up there to change). The pattern instructions were clear (just important to go slowly) and I like the result (maybe the pockets are a bit shallow). The only complicated issue for me was the choice of size. Based on hip measurements (97 cm) I should have made a 4, but I had already sucesfully made several Coe trousers in size 8 based on waist measurements (75 cm). So, for this I made a size 6 and it may be a little too relaxed and may size down next time. But all in all, a great pattern I’ll be making again soon.

ABSOLUTE DREAM JEANS
Love these jeans. I've previously made the Adams Pant but the cut of these ones is just perfection. Instructions are great and I prefer the construction of the zip fly in these as well. My only minor gripe is that the fit is tricky with just how much the denim relaxes. Going down a size i would struggle to do them up but sewing them to my size they are now super baggy. This could be a fabric thing though, I'll be trying with more fabrics ASAP. Love DJ Patterns, they never miss.
