When it arrived, I was concerned about the strength of the 1/8" thick steel plate across the top (the site said it is 1/3") as I'm using 3" thick live edge with a 7" wide glass insert in the center. It is, however, strong enough. The legs look great with a semi-gloss black finish ... I used a 5/8" rod (1/8" wall thickness) with a 3/8" threaded rod running though it to tie the legs together at the X point.
