Palomino

Sunny, sweet and dry, Palomino is a scent that tells it's story so well. The shift from the opening notes of grasses and tobacco flower to the more atmospheric creosote create a picture for me the western landscape. There is an earthiness to the dry down that I am really enjoying. The oud is handled deftly and is not overly heavy. Effortless chic is what comes to mind when I wear this. Every note is balanced making it easy to wear and easy to recommend you give it a try.

Unexpected favorite

I discovered Cirrus through an online review while looking for perfumes that smell like incense, I specifically wanted to try Duomo. After looking at the scentlist I decided to get a sample pack including Palomino. I'm from the Southwest, I love trying desert perfumes, and I had to try this one. To my surprise, Palomino is my new favorite perfume. I'm a little afraid to buy vetiver perfumes because the vetiver is usually too heavy, but this was perfectly balanced for my tastes, the vetiver is not overpowering. I get more of the sage, tobacco flower, and dried grass with some of the leather and patchouli notes. It is such a lovely smell, it reminds me of the Colorado Plateau and exploring Four Corners.

Unusual and complex

I received a sample of Palomino as part of a curated set from the decanter Surrender to Chance. It was one of my favorites of the bunch, and I looked up Cirrus Parfum to order more. I ended up trying several more of their perfumes and buying two (so far) in larger sizes. All that I've tried are well done, interesting, and complex scents. There is a very talented perfumer behind this brand. It's well worth ordering a sample set, which incidentally came beautifully packaged. I look forward to trying more.
