The shoe I've waited 15 years for!

I am not you typical runner when it comes to running shoes. After doing field research with the Tarahumara people in the 1995, I became fascinated with minimalist running and the running culture among this indigenous group. When Born to Run came out I felt validated for experimenting with sandals running, and have been running in sandals seriously and exclusively for the past 15 years - including full marathons and 10 full distance Ironman finishes. Speedland was the shoe company that made me transition from everyday sandals to their RX:PNW (and RX:LDVL). The RX:PNW are everything I've been looking for to make the major transition. The combination of comfort and responsiveness (I have opted for using the carbon plate) are dramatic. The BOA adjust allowed for secure custom fitting, with ability for on the fly adjustments. I also run with a Stryd foot pod, and this easily incorporates into the retention system. Overall the fit is light and just feels fast. And now the most important part - they looking amazing. There is a premium price to these shoes, but this is a prime example of getting what you pay for. If you are in the military, ask them about their military discount.

Great fit and comfortable right out of the box

The shoe fits well and the BOA system feels snug without applying pressure on single points. The sole promotes forward motion and rolls easy. Wish that BOA system would be available on trail shoes as well.

Best Road Shoe

Had these for a bit now, but was still finishing up miles on a different shoe, well, got them out and put the first miles on them this week. Love them!! Great feel on the road with both cushion and comfort while running and hitting the concrete.
