Uji Blend Matcha 50g

Not the same as my last order…

I tried this matcha once before and it was really good! I couldn’t wait to order it again, I loved it so much. But this batch feels like a completely different matcha. I can’t get it to fully incorporate in my cup and I’ve never had that issue. Even double sifting, using a chasen and the appropriate temperature water, I still end up with clumps and bits in my cup. The taste is different also. Not in a bad way, but not consistent with the last order. It’s kind of disappointing.

I really enjoy this matcha! Great for everyday, umami, nutty with slight bitterness. It’s great as an iced matcha latte! Will purchase again!

It’s the matcha that I’ll keep repurchasing. Uji latte blend is a vivid shade of green. Not dark but, vivid (which) is good. The flavor is a bit umami, earthy, and vegetal. It pairs well with pure vanilla and agave if you like a little sweetener but I always prefer my lattes less sweet. I also get a nice microfoam with this blend.
