soft like your favorite fleece blankie
super soft and comfortable. not thin, not too thick. quality. not junk. the inside pills a little bit of fleece, but only had one wash so far. i got a 2xl and fit a little roomy, but not too big if slightly baggy fit is preferred. i am 6' tall, 215lbs for reference.
