Took my cat very little time to get used to (encouraging her to play is expected to be needed of any toy) but she loves it and even meows and paws at it to ask me to turn it on. It works as described, rolls well over carpet and lasts a long time. It can take a beating. The beeping for when it is in standby really helps me find it without being too loud or invasive. It's not an incredibly strong motor (it won't roll well under a blanket, which i know some cats like) but I think that's a positive considering this means it definitely isn't at risk hurting my cat or my stuff. Great product!
