1900X 1-DOG UNIT

We love our 1900X unit. We had gone through several lesser versions, even highly rated units with this really large online retailer. What a waste of money. Then I started searching on ChatGPT and Gemini. And they both pointed me to Dogtra. What a great suggestion. The unit is solid, versatile, and easy to use. I suspect this will be the last unit we will need for many years to come!

No More Chasing Chickens

We requested advice from Dogra support to select which collar would be best for our 10-month-old, intact, male Malinois and they promptly replied with the recommendation of the 1900x. My wife and I have always been very good with training dogs and have an older female Malinois so we are experienced with the breed and love them dearly. Other than the one undesirable behavior of treating chickens like chew toys, our new pup is very well behaved. He would not chase chickens or have anything to do with them if we were outside with him, but the moment we turned our backs or went in the house he was running the hens down and chewing on them like a tennis ball. He knew it was wrong because he would only do it when we weren't there to stop him. So, we decided to try one of these collars. After setting up the collar and remote controller, I tried it on myself. I just wanted to know exactly what was going to happen. I would never do anything to a dog that I wasn't willing to endure myself. The goal was just to startle him and so we started out on a low setting. Once satisfied with the settings, we put the collar on him and turned him loose in the yard. We then went in the house to watch out the window. Sure enough, he immediately started chasing one of the hens. We gave two quick warning beeps followed by a vibration and then hit the juice. He jumped and looked around, not understanding what just happened. Then he started chasing again. We went through the sequence again and he jumped again. He then went after a hen a third time, yet this time, he broke off as soon as we got to the vibrate stage of the sequence. And that's it. He was done. He went and stood by the gate, staring at the chickens. We could tell that he was pondering their apparent wizardry. Now when we let him out in the yard by himself he just ignores them - he walks around like they're not even there (Yay!). We still watch him closely for any relapses but so far so good. We are very thankful because we were at our wit's end trying to stop this behavior. Following months of failed training, we were able to stop it in ten minutes with the collar.

On the advice of a local dog trainer, I bought a 1900x a couple of months ago. I liked it so well I bought one for my husband to use, and another for my daughter. Great product.
