This is a great product, I did months of research trying to find the best way for a beginner to take deep space photos, this product exceeded expectations, I do recommend you do your research on this product vs the s30 pro as for both are great quality but the s30 pro is lighter and more portable for hiking, but I live in a high light pollution area, and the s50 pro take amazing images from my back yard, 100 % worth it, also would recommend getting a wedge or the fluid mount for longer exposure imaging, but even without it takes amazing photos

Perfect for my needs with a schedule with many interruptions. Easy to set up and let run while I go back inside to get things done. Easy to breakdown too. Even the automatic stacking and AI enhancements are brag-worthy. But really worthwhile saving the individual subs, stacking them with your favorite software, and then finally editing using astrophotography tools really elevate the Seestar results to truly awe-inspiring results!

I entered this hobby with a pair of 10x50 binoculars. Then I migrated to a star tracker, a 60 mm scope, a guide scope, a guide camera, and all the equipment that goes along with that approach. Then there were hours learning the necessary astronomy imaging and processing software. Setting up at an observation site required carting several protective equipment boxes/cases to the site. Assembling the equipment, mounting my mirrorless camera, and aligning it took a lot of time. Tearing it all down and reboxing the equipment took more time. On a good night, I got an image. It got to the point where I wouldn't put in the effort to go out unless the sky was nearly clear. My traditional astrophotography rig cost me at least twice the cost of the Seestar S50 Pro. In the 3 weeks I've owned my S50, I've been out capturing images several times more often than I did with my traditional astrophotography rig. Now I go out even if the sky is partly cloudy, knowing the Seestar will ignore any cloudy subs. My images are available days, even weeks, earlier. I feel the Seestar images are of comparable quality to my other rig. If I want, I can still process my images. With the Seestar, I am getting the Astronomy and Astrophotography enjoyment I was hoping for when I got into this hobby.
