Irish Eccentrics

It is my new favourite book. I read it years ago and loaned it to someone, never got it back. Now I got the paperback edition and I am enjoying it immensely. Quirky character abound, from hermit monks to faith healers and rakes - they are all represented. Cross dressing nobility? No problem, they are present, too. Some sad stories, of course. All in all a must read for the discerning reader. Especially for us Irish. Highly recommended
