Don't know what I did without them
I purchased an electric boss a year ago. I found that a second hoof boss was necessary to save time and switching the heads for different goats so I opted for a battery operated hoof boss. I don't know what I did before without these wonderful tools. The battery operated one is very easy to clip on and move around from one side of the animal to the other. I'm in love with my hoof boss tools!

Get the cordless mobile model!
This is our 2nd Hoof Boss. We purchased one many years ago that has been sent back for repair once, worked a couple years, and needs another repair. We weren't sure if we should purchase a cheap cordless grinder on amazon or go with another Hoof boss. In the end, we have several hoof boss grinding blades and we also use Dewalt cordless tools extensively, so we went with the mobile hoof boss. VERY glad we did. Since we purchased the first one there are now many videos out and some cool You tube channels on hoof care. I needed to adjust my technique. That has made all the difference, and the cordless model is much better: it is faster to grab and do a quick job rather than finding extension cords so I do a quick trim when it needs doing rather than thinking maybe later. It is also more efficient when doing a bunch of goats. I don't have to find a good place to set it down and move the cords so the next goat on the stand doesn't hit it and drag it around. Hubby gave me one of his old tool harnesses which I thought was too dorky but actually is better than hanging the battery and hoof boss on my jeans. My jeans will hold them but the harness makes frequent on/off between goats easier because the hoof boss clip is tight and may take two hands to put or take off. a metal clamp on the belt makes this easy if you do a bunch of goats. Anyway changing my hoof trimming technique made all the difference. I did not need to use hand cutters at all even though some of the hooves were severely overgrown, and doing it properly made it go very fast which was much easier on my back.
