Good morning, Back in October of 2025, my wife and I bought one of your flying fish rope toys for our dog Winston. Immediately this became his most cherished toy, but he is a destroyer of all toys, so we kept the playing supervised. Over the course of the next several months, and as we shook off winter’s cold, play became more frequent and supervision became more lax. This toy still flies great in spite of the wear and tear, so much so that we bought another one to replace it. This is where the issue comes in, I saw two other versions of these toys, a rope bird, and a bird that looks more realistic. We decided that this was going to be a much longer supply than last time and we would only give them to him one at a time. I quickly realized how much further flying the rope bird was as this was the first one we decided to give him. Unfortunately, despite almost no destruction from the dog, the launching mechanism snapped, and is sadly just another toy to be thrown and not launched. You might think that after nearly 7 months of having a similar toy from the same company, I would have a pretty good feel for how to safely launch these toys, and I think that would be true, so I was very disappointed to find out that the construction of these two toys from the same company in the same basic category are very different. I’m including a picture of the aforementioned rope-bird in pieces after its mechanical failure. I am hoping this was a one off fluke, and that the quality of construction has not gone down since I bought his first toy from Spunky Pup. I did not want to leave a review stating this information because I’m well aware this could be a total fluke. If the rope bird is categorically less robust than the fish I would very much like to just get another replacement fish for him. Warmest regards, Aaron Hallberg

Very cool and tough dog toys are hard to come by. Most are cheaply made and last about five minutes with my Labs! Spunky Flying Eagle and Flying Rope Duck are quality made and my Ranger loves them! Thanks.

Was super excited about this launched it once and my labrador retriever got it and ended up shredding it in two seconds so it was very short-lived
