Lined Work Jacket

It’s hard to find jackets that fit me well but this lined work jacket fits perfect. Sleeve length and overall length is perfect for my 5’6” frame. The material feels like a high quality canvas and it is manufactured really solid. Will definitely be buying more from Abbreviated!

Not a perfect fit, but good enough. This is definitely meant for layering, even though the pictures of the model seems to looks great without having much underneath. For me, it is much too bulky with only a shirt, and still a bit bulky with a sweater underneath. I'm already quite muscular in the chest and shoulders, so I'm not sure it'd work at all for someone thinner. It's very cropped much like their T-shirts, which is okay for me. The sleeves are also a tad long though. I initially gave 4 stars but changed it to 5 because it seems very high quality and I want to support this company.

Since this was my first order with Abbreviated, I wasn't sure how their clothes ran, so I ordered an L and an XL of the lined work jacket, walnut color. As soon as I took them out of their package, I could see what a high-quality jacket they both were. The outer fabric, inner liner, zippered breast pocket, inner pocket, etc. The jacket and collar colors were really sharp. I was SOOOOOO excited to keep the one that fit the best and return the other. Unfortunately, the L was too snug around the waist (I'm about 5'8"and about a 35 waist. I could feel the snugness around the waist and knew that it looked too small for me plus I could never wear layers (i.e. hoodie) because the jacket would then not fit at all. I then moved to the XL but was really discouraged when the sleeves were much too long. I prefer that jacket sleeves end at about the wrist. The L ended halfway down my palm, which was acceptable, but not ideal. The XL's sleeve ended by my knuckles which was completely unacceptable. For too many years I've had to "settle" on jackets that had sleeves that were too long and either folded the sleeves or had them altered at my expense. That's why I've said "NEVER AGAIN!" and shop at stores like Abbreviated, Ash & Erie and Peter Manning, for shorter men. The XL fit me perfectly around the body, but sleeves that were way too long. In conclusion, the L was too snug around the waist (my fault that I like to eat too much ;-)) and the XL's sleeves were way too long. Honestly, Abbreviated should offer these L's and XL's with shorter sleeve lengths. Otherwise, they are catering to normal-sized men and this is NOT what this store is supposed to be. However, I think this jacket will fit those that are smaller and slimmer and you shouldn't have issues with the waist or sleeves. Seriously, I think this is one of the best jackets I've ever seen and tried on and that's why I was soooo disappointed to have to return both. Unless you're about my size, I'd suggest you run to place this order. I'm 100% certain you'll love this jacket. Super-impressive quality and style by Abbreviated. I'm just sad I couldn't find one that fits me.
