I would recommend you NOT go thin on this one. Keep it at least .9 or greater. It effects the integrity and strength when you split it too thin and rips easily. I learned the hard way. It's absolutely beautiful leather though and WOULD definitely buy this again but at regular unsplit thickness. I'm going to give it four out of five stars because of the fact that it does not do well thin.
