I wish I had not sized up like some reviews led me to believe. I was a competitive swimmer growing up so I think I'm used to a tighter one piece for laps. It definitely is a micro back so it's rather high which is fine but you may have a little bit of a gap in the side area like I do. I haven't used it in the pool yet, so I can't speak to its longevity. It seems like it will hold up fine. I got it in black and am anticipating swimming in some decently high level chlorine that normally discolors other colors.
