Pioneer Tire

Hands down the best tyre out there in my opinion & 18k miles in less than 3 years in this one wheeeled sport. Thanks dudes.

BTG 5” Pioneer - Huge Thunbs down here

I love TFL and my favorite tire currently is a BTG thundercat, my other board is Burris BTG 11.5. I pitted this 5” BTG up against all 3 and wanted to like it so bad. Right out of the gate it rubs on my battery gland so bad, maybe if this was on a pint sized hub or narrow 5” it would work better. It’s a heavy tire, it does okay in sand but I’m really trying to give it a fair shake but it’s one of the worst 5” tires I’ve ridden so far. And I love TFL and the boys no shots fired for trying to make a new product.

Pioneer 5" Tire is an absolute trail weapon if you ride your Onewheel like it’s meant to get dirty. The tread is chunky and aggressive so it just claws into dirt, gravel, mud, and loose terrain instead of spinning out, and the wide contact patch makes the board feel super planted when things get rowdy. It’s not the fastest tire on pavement and it definitely has more of a rugged truck-tire vibe than a slick carver, but that’s the point—this thing is built for grip and confidence when the trail gets sketchy. If you like bombing rough lines, ripping through soft terrain, and feeling locked in instead of sliding around, the Pioneer delivers big traction energy and turns your board into a straight up off-road tank.
