This vest has made my experience in the woods so much more pleasurable. I’m still a fairly new turkey hunter and over the last few years I’ve tried several different vests trying to figure out what works for me and what a perfer. This vest is set up well and helps me stay simple. I love the pockets. This season I ran a local national forest with my striker and a pot call pocket open and nothing so much as moved. The pockets are snug but not too tight and hold everything where it needs to be. Two strikers stack well and are easily assessable and in one pot call holer I carried one pot and some condition supplies on the other side of the divider. The second pot call i kept a small folding knife, a small zip tie for my tag, a magsafe charger to keep my phone going for maps and if my kids needed me, and some chalk if I decided to carry a box. In the big pocket i kept my wallet and license and a crow and owl call. The box call pocket stayed secure and made zero sounds. The seat is nice and i like that it unzips. I wish a thicker seat option was available though cause it is then and I have a boney butt. However the seat does what it’s supposed to do and keeps me from getting a wet rear end in the morning dew. I love how small it founda up for storage and what i first noticed when i got it was that when it is snugged up all the way my kids will be able to wear it when theyre ready. I wish the mesh sode pockets were big enough for a nalegen bottle though because thats how i prefer to carry water. I used the meah pockets for some paracord to tie back brush if needed and to keep my head lamp. The molle in the back is great for my shears and keeping my rain poncho and hooking my truck keys to so they wont gingle in my pocket. Love the greenleaf but wishnit was available in full foliage because where i hunt we dont have much of a winter at all and most everything stays green year round. Hands down though if i wear this thing out i will be getting another.

Great Turkey Vest - Attention to Detail on the Things That Matter

Prior to purchasing this vest, I had been running a well broke in Cabela’s vest that was passed down to me after my Papaw passed away but this season I wanted something else to keep his old vest preserved. As much as I loved running that vest due to all the memories that were made in it, it just was too big on me and I had been thinking on getting a new vest for several years now. None of the other vests on the market had caught my eye until the guys at Spring Legion dropped this vest. I am an avid listener to the podcast and feel as though Hunter and Chase are steering turkey hunting back in the direction that it should be. I knew if they had spent the time refining a vest and were ready to put it out for sale, that it would be something worth having. So far this year, I have worn the vest while hiking almost 40 miles on rugged National Forest land in search of a gobbling turkeys. The vest has exceeded my expectations thus far and it is obvious that there was a great amount of attention put into the fine details of this vest. This vest is the perfect option for a run and gun turkey hunter that likes to cover ground looking for cooperative birds. I would highly recommend this vest to anyone looking to try something new!
