Joule Violin

Joule for my Five String Acoustic Violin

After I tried out all the Coda bows, the Joule really stood out for pulling a good resonant tone from the C string yet still providing consistant control of the treble strings, including the high E. I'm very happy with the Joule and will be using it on my weekly restaurant gig.

An excellent bow for my unusual setting

I play an electric extended range violin, focusing on jazz / fusion / modern music. It is hard to find a bow that is versatile and gets the best out of the lower strings without compromising on the standard range. I love this model.

Coda Bow Joule

I bought the 'vegan' version with synthetic hair and rubber grip and it is great. Good balance in the bow, not bouncing. Clear and powerful sound. The synthetic hair plays like horsehair. Good grip on the strings. I need to resin he synthetic hair a bit more than I'm used to with horse hair, but maybe that's becourse it's still new. Not a big problem. I like the powerful Joule with the synthetic hair also for playing in the open air where you can't control the humidity the acoustics. Happy with my Coda bow.
