The cushioning feels soft on top, but it still gives him enough support that he is not constantly circling before he lies down. I also like the raised sides because he uses them like a pillow when he naps in the afternoon. The cover was a little bulky to put back on after washing, but it cleaned up well and the base stays put on our wood floor.

I bought the ComfortCradle in Grey for my 6-year-old Frenchie, Barnaby. Frenchies are prone to back issues (IVDD is my nightmare), so I've been strictly looking for something with actual orthopedic support, not just that cheap fluffy stuffing. The foam in this is legit—it’s firm but comfortable, kind of like my own mattress. Barnaby took to it immediately. He loves resting his chin on the raised side bolster, which is adorable and actually seems to help keep his airway open (his snoring is slightly less like a freight train now, thank god). I live in Vancouver, so wet, muddy paws are a daily reality here. I’ve taken the cover off to wash it three times already. The zipper is sturdy and the fabric cleans up perfectly without shrinking, which is usually where these beds fail. Also, shipping to Canada was faster than I expected, and I didn't get hit with any surprise duty fees at the door. If you have a 'potato' dog that needs joint support, this is a solid buy.
