A distinctive smell

The jacket is great, the smell.. not so much. I originally bought this jacket online, received it, took it off the plastic bag it was in and the smell was so strong , the jacket spend most of the week in fresh air .. the smell never left ( something about a rancid wax ) went to exchange it at the Folsom store ( which they did) the smell was the same but way less .. but every time I wear it I feel I comfortable about it .. the wax in the can doesn’t smell like that. But I think it turns really bad between the factory and shop ? ( The more time it spends in a plastic bag ) ..

Terrific shorter jacket, offering better comfort for car driving. Made with traditionally excellent Filson attention to fabric snd construction. It’ll last forever, joining my longer Filson hunting jacket, which is going on thirty years old.

Nice jacket

I haven't worn it much since I ordered it in the spring, but it seems like a nice jacket. It loses one star automatically because it's not made in the US anymore. The sleeves are a bit long, but so is my other waxed jacket, so I kind of expected it. It's also dry waxed, which is a bit different than what I am used to, but I like the overall feel and the quality of the jacket. I'm 100% sure I will love wearing it.
