Nicely made and very practical - not as loud as I’d like
The drum is very well made and aesthetically appealing. I love wooden instruments in general and have one other all wood drum that I really like. The light weight is a nice quality both for sitting on your lap and moving it about. The sound that comes off the bottom is pleasing and you can get quite a variety of tones. My only disappointment is with the dynamic volume using the tuning hole. I have not managed to get nearly as loud of a tonal change as I can with a clay drum. That said, tapping wood is also much easier on your hand than tapping clay so it is a trade off. I haven’t tried it with a microphone yet, but that could probably ameliorate the issue.
