Important Part of Plate System

This metal shim that fits the Empress Elite diecutting machine, is an important part of the plate system for anyone using the Empress to die cut. For intricate dies as well as for general die cutting, the metal shim paired with the magnetic mat helps the Empress die cut more accurately and sharper. I would consider this a mjst-have to one's plate system.

Works as it should but …

After about a week of use, the shim bowed fairly dramatically. I’ve tried all sorts of things to flatten it — using it bowed side up, bowed side down, putting something heavy on it overnight. No luck. I only use it in my Empress.

I love my magic mat it works wonderful and makes die cutting so much easier love it
