I got an Empress Mini Elite and was sorry to see that there is no embossing mat for the smaller set of plates. So I will use this mat with my old empress mini plate set to emboss small dies. I love the look that die embossing can give projects and do it often enough that a mat is necessary. For larger dies, I will have to use my big Empress or a manual machine. Otherwise, this is an excellent machine. It is very quiet and cuts beautifully. It's a little bigger than the old Empress but still a pretty small footprint. I'm happy I got it and will just work around the absence of the smaller embossing mat and will still give it 5 stars.
