The shirt is soft and luscious. I washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and laid flat to dry. It came out beautifully, no shrinking or fading. I have ordered 2 , one as gift for my bestie. I wore it to Mass styled with a coordinating jacket , black pants, and black patent leather loafers. I definitely recommend this sweater if you live in cool or cold area.
