Men's Tarkine Bandicoot: Light. Fast. Everywhere.

Absolutely fantastic ! Really handles everything from easy jog to faster sessions. Great on both trails and road, a true do it all shoe ! Well done on this one Tarkine !

Light and nimble trail shoe

I wore the Bandicoots for a 16km trail race yesterday and was impressed. On a course of mostly flowing singletrack in wet conditions, averaging 4:30/km pace, they felt light and nimble and gripped well (some slips in sections of muddy clay soil). They felt good too on sections of dirt and paved road. Probably best suited to sub-ultra distance but I could be proven wrong as I haven't worn them on a long run yet. Two negatives: 1) Why do companies insist on making trail shoes in white?!?! They got mud on them the first time I wore them and are now forever dirty grey/brown - scrubbing with soapy water doesn't get them clean. 2) The insoles. I left two pairs of shoes out in the rain and the insoles in the Bandicoots soaked up water like a sponge, leaving them soggy and heavy and negating the shoes' lightweight design. The insoles in other shoes (Saucony) didn't take on water and stayed light.

I love the social statement Tarkine are making by supporting Bob Brown and the conservation of the Tarkine forest. Then to the shoes. Super lightweight and a great fit.Can't wait to get them out on a trail
